چکیده
هدف اصلی مطالعه حاضر بررسی تاثیر متغیرهای سیاسی و تجاری بر پایداری محیط زیست مجموعه‌ای از کشورها با سطوح درآمدی مختلف است. از یک سو تجارت بین‌الملل از کانال‌های مختلفی مانند سرمایه‌گذاری مستقیم خارجی (FDI) و انتقال تکنولوژی همراه با بهبود شیوه‌های مدیریت موجب تقویت صادرات و رشد اقتصادی بسیاری از کشورها شده است. از سوی دیگر اثرات زیست‌محیطی همراه با رشد اقتصادی و اثرات منفی آن بر پایداری زیست‌محیطی موجب افزایش نگرانی‌های زیست‌محیطی شده است. درعین حال ساختار اقتصادی و سیاسی از جمله عوامل اثرگذار بر کیفیت محیط زیست کشورها شناخته می‌شود. در مطالعه حاضر با استفاده از داده‌های 110 کشور به تجزیه و تحلیل رابطه میان تجارت، جریان سرمایه‌گذاری مستقیم خارجی، شاخص‌های اقتصادی- سیاسی و شاخص عملکرد زیست‌محیطی (EPI) در مجموعه‌ای از کشورها با سطوح درآمدی متفاوت پرداخت شده است. نتایج برآورد الگوی پانل با استفاده از روش گشتاورهای تعمیم یافته (GMM) در دوره 2012-2000 نشان می‌دهد که صادرات کالا تاثیر منفی و صادرات خدمات و جریان خروجی سرمایه‌گذاری مستقیم خارجی تاثیر مثبتی بر پایداری زیست‌محیطی کشورهای مورد مطالعه داشته است. همچنین بین عوامل اقتصادی سیاسی (مانند آزادی دموکراسی و فساد کمتر) و عملکرد زیست‌محیطی کشورها رابطه مثبتی وجود دارد. بر این اساس تجارت و سرمایه‌گذاری مستقیم خارجی به طور قابل توجهی پایداری زیست‌محیطی کشورها را تحت تاثیر قرار می‌دهد. علاوه بر این نتایج بیانگر تایید فرضیه کوزنتس زیست‌محیطی (EKC) در گروه کشورهای مورد مطالعه با وجود متغیرهای تجاری و سیاسی- اقتصادی است. این نتایج می‌تواند از نقطه نظر انتخاب سیاست‌های تجاری و شاخصه‌های اقتصادی-سیاسی برای برنامه‌ریزان اقتصادی و سیاسی کشورها مورد توجه قرار گیرد.

چکیده [English]
The main object of this article is to investigate the impacts of trade and political variables on the environmental performance index (EPI) from 2000 to 2012. To do so, the data from 110 countries were collected in this period using the GMM method. Also, different levels of income were used for data analysis. The results showed that, while the export of goods had a negative impact on EPI, the export of services and inward FDI had a positive impact on EPI in all the studied countries. The result also suggested that there was a positive relationship between political variables and EPI, with the trade and FDI having a significant impact on FDI. Furthermore, the EKC hypothesis was confirmed. These findings can be used by policymakers to attain sustainable development objectives.
